► Do you offer a risk free trial membership?
Yes, we offer an anytime 30 day ad to sell businesses, sell franchises, and list commercial real for sale or lease without any restrictions and by registering.
► What ad listing and membership options do you offer?
There are three levels of service we currently offer by registering including a risk free 30 day listing, 90 day advanced option, and yearly memberships for brokers and agents.
► Who can make posts on iBuildBiz?
Posts for selling are best utilized by owner, a franchisee, business broker, or third party agents.
► What business categories and sub-categories do you offer?
You can view “Categories” offered in the main navigation on any page of this website, or visit our current list of business categories.
Posting and Listings Information
► How do I edit a listing?
Listings can be edited by logging into your account. Remember to make sure you select the correct business category. If you have already created a listing and need to update the category, simply email us to update. We manually review each listing, so we may have already caught this issue.
► How do I manage my listing(s)?
A personalized dashboard allows you to easily manage your ads and it includes all of your listings by logging into your account.
► Are listings reviewed before going live?
Yes, we manually review every listing to ensure quality.
► How long before my listing goes live?
Your listing will go live within 24 – 48 hours. If for any reason it takes longer, we will notify you by email of your listing date.
► How do I know my listing went live?
When you log into your account you will see a message indicating your listing(s) are live. After posting an ad, we suggest you log into your account within 24 hours.
► Am I able to add pictures to my listing(s)?
Up to 5 pictures are supported with a quick upload button in your online dashboard.
► Can I update pictures?
Yes, at any time and you can add or delete an existing photo.
► What size picture files can be uploaded?
Each photo file size may be up to 500KB.
► How do listings appear in Most Popular ads?
Most popular ads are driven by listings that recieve the highest number of visitors. Ads with the most visits appear appear in both Most Popular listings as well as the business category listing you selected.
► How does the search feature work?
On the home page, an auto complete feature enables search that lists all matching results. With the suggest search feature, misspellings or related search terms are displayed to send visitors in the right direction.
► How does the Google Map function work with my ads?
Each listing ad is required to assign a State and Country for visitors using the advanced search menu. Street address and City fields are optional to protect privacy for confidential small business sales. We recommend using a City with your ad as it will help users better find your listing.
► Selling Commercial Real Estate & Agents
You are able to sell commercial properties with or without a business or franchise opportunities.
Registration, Login & Online Dashboard
► What features are provided in my online account?
All of your classified listings are provided in your account login along with the number of views for each listing and a user profile. If desired a Facebook and Twitter link can be suppplied for those that wish to display this information in their online listings.
► Can I renew an expiring or expired listing online?
Yes, when you log into your dashboard. The time and date tells you when your listing(s) will expire.
► Is there a way to Pause a listing?
You can be pause and unpause listings online when you log into your dashboard and by selecting the ad.
► When is a listing deleted?
A listing will no longer be available online once it has expired. If you have sold the business, commercial property or business asset, you should “Mark Sold” in your online dashboard.
► What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards. Personal information is encrypted through transmission online using PayPal.
Account Usernames & Passwords
► How do I register?
You can register to sell a business, franchise, or commercial real estate.
► How do I update my password?
After you log in to your account, select Edit Profile. Your password should be at least 7 characters long and a strength indicator will help choose the safest password.
► How do I recover my password if I cannot remember it?
You can recover your password by entering your username or email address and a new password will be emailed to you.
Email, Notifications & Buying a Business
► Is my email address published online?
We do not publish email addresses online. An confidential online form to contact you by email is provided for visitors to direct their interest. Some members may decide to publish their email and phone number in the listing description.
► Can I update my email online?
Yes, an option is provided to edit your profile.
► I want to buy a business. How do I receive listings by email?
We provide a free listings by email service to receive alerts when seeking to buy a company. An email notification is sent to you when matches occur.
► How do I unsubscribe?
Simply contact us, or reply to any email notification with remove or opt-out.
RSS
► What is an RSS subscription?
By providing your email address, you will receive an email asking you to validate that you have requested this subscription. Join our RSS subscription for business articles and listings.
Business Broker Directory & Listings
► What online options are provided for business brokers and commercial real estate agents?
Each listing provides a Poster that shows how long you have been a member with iBuildBiz. It also includes your Latest Items Listed. You can access this area by logging in and selecting Edit Profile where you can also add a website address, Twitter URL and Facebook URL.
► How do I add my business brokerage firm to the business broker directory?
